AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today endorsed Jimmy Blacklock for the Texas Supreme Court. Last week Governor Abbott announced his intention to appoint Blacklock to the Supreme Court upon Justice Willett’s confirmation to the 5th Circuit.
“The Texas Supreme Court plays such a crucial role in the future of our state,” said Governor Abbott. “It’s vital that we elect justices who will uphold the law and bring conservative leadership to the court. Jimmy will be a conservative vote on the court who can contribute to the court’s decisions through his insightful understanding of the law, and I am proud to endorse him for the Texas Supreme Court.”
